The Eight Irresistible Principles of Fun

Hey ladies!

Happy Monday! I hope you are all doing great today.

To enjoy life to the fullest, we should keep reminding ourselves of positive, inspirational, and motivational things. We should learn to let go, enjoy every single moment, and have fun. Sometimes we care too much about what other people would think of us. "What if I look stupid to them?" "What if they laugh at me?" "What if they talk about me and call me an idiot behind my back?" "How embarrassing that would be!" Things like that. I do it too. But now, whenever I am at it again, I would tell myself "Oh come on, who the hell cares???!!!" It is not other people, it is yourself that keep you tossing over the things that embarrass you.

We have been talking about self-improvement since we started this group blog, we have been discussing how to live a happier life by embracing the good things while letting go the unhappy ones. Today I watched a very positive video about self-improvement. I tried to catch every single word it says... I took some time to write down all those lines and post them in my personal blog. I know the video is not new but it is getting wild on the Internet. I think I should post all the lines here and share with you... In case you find some errors in the notes I took, let me know. Thank you.

This should the inspiration for my everyday life...

Are you having fun?
We do not have enough fun in our lives.
Fun is the pinch of salt that brings out the flavour.
Fun is the backbeat that gives the song it rhythm.
Fun is the first date that makes the heart go faster.
In other words, it is not absolutely necessary that you have fun...
But life is better when you do.
Make the eight irresistible principles a part of your life.
Feel better.
Do the stuff that really matters.

1. Get focused. Stop hiding who you really are. Take time to figure out what makes up your DNA. When it comes down to it, what do you stand for? "And then, when you know who you are. Turn up the volume! "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of someone else." Judy Garland, actress

2. Get focused. Start being intensely selfish. Get hungry for the things that are truly important to you. Think of the people you respect and love, the moments you relish, the impact you want to have, the legacy you want to leave. Bottom line: Don't waste your time on anything else. "When you come right down to it, all you have is yourself. All the rest is nothing" Pablo Picasso, artist

3. Be creative! Stop following the rules. With the exception of gravity, almost all of the rules are negotiable, someone just makes them up. It's no longer about what you can't do, it's about what you can do. "If you obey all the rules, you will miss all the fun" Katharine Hepburn, actress

4. Be Creative! Start scaring yourself. Explore the edges, dip your toe in the bold, the outrageous, and the unthinkable. Seek out and have adventures. "Men wanted for hazardous journey. Small wages. Bitter cold. Long months of darkness. Constant danger. Safe return doubtful." Ernest Shackleton, explorer

5. Use your wisdom. Stop taking it all so damn seriously. In this moment, is it a life or death decision? In 10 years, will you remember what you're fretting about? In 100 years, will anyone care? So lighten up, this too will pass." Don't take life too seriously. You will not get out of it alive" Elbert Hubbard, publisher

6. Use your wisdom. Start getting rid of the crap. Think of all the stuff that's weighting you down and getting in the way. Not just the things, but also the habits, the memories, the attitudes, the people. Get rid of that clutter. "Knowledge is the process of piling up facts; wisdom lies in their simplification." Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, civil rights leader

7. Take action. Stop being busy. Being busy is seductive. Just because you're going flat out doesn't mean you're on the right track. If it's the wrong hole, you need to stop digging. "We're lost, but we are making good time." Yogi Berra, baseball philosopher

8. Take action. Start something. Don’t wait any longer for permission to do what you want to do. There are always reasons to procrastinate just a little longer. Enough! Just start! "When all is said and done, there is a lot more said then done." Lou Holtz, sports coach

Hey Fran ! Thanks for sharing your notes on this video. It's great :)
And I totally agree with every single words.

Creativity and action are 2 very important things in my day to day life and I noticed recently how much change it can bring to a situation. Stepping for yourself and be original is what make our power as individuals.

Ladies, never forget about that !
