Listen deep inside

Hello Ladies, say what you say!!! This is my first post; sorry that I didn’t do this since the day I was invited to this blog. I´m really happy about posting here, I actually WANT to post! I´m kind of tired of having to post everyday in my blog, it has become a “have to” instead of a “want to” but oh well, I got myself into that.

I´ve been thinking about what can I write here. This has to be a post I really want to share with you guys! What I love the most about this is the way this idea came to my mind. It was so spontaneous… like a drop of water, just fell into my head. It came from inside, it was actually my inner voice speaking (in case you are wondering… no, I’m not crazy!)

Intuition: according to Wikipedia, this is the "ability to sense or know immediately without reasoning”. It comes like a reflex, a response to a thought, question, or life situation. It is that voice deep inside your head that quietly guides you through life.

Ignoring it is easy but listening to it not. You also have to be objective for making life’s decisions, and intuition is purely “subjective”. But at the same time, it always has an automatic response for anything you think inside your brain. Pay attention, EVERY time that you ask yourself something it ALWAYS gives you an answer. In my case, that voice was right 90% of the time.

I truly believe in it, but I don’t act impulsively based on it. An answer is given, then I analyze it carefully… all pros and cons. When the possibilities are 50/50 I give it the “benefit of the doubt” and then just do what it says.

All this makes me wonder… where does it come from? How come it can be right most of the times!

Are You An Introvert or Extravert?

Hey ladies!

Story After The Dinner

Photo Credit: {CarLee}
Inspired by Lola vs. Awkward Dinners 101 by Lola Lakely

A couple of months ago, my client visited our company. I fixed up a dinner with him. That Mister, a Captain from S.K. who had sailed all over the world in the past 20 years, topped our company's "the-most-difficult-to-deal-with" list because he knew things way too well and he was really a hard bargainer. Negotiation was my job, and it was what that dinner for. I do not remember what else he talked about over the meal, except for his happy family, his wife, his daughter and son-in-law, both wonderful, cool, pilots for a world famous airlines, his son who was going to university soon and so on and so forth... Very impressive family and a very impressive guy content and proud of what he had got from life.

After dinner, he asked me to show him around a little bit. So I took him to the nearest scenic spot which was also the most famous and the most crowded place in the city where I live. We walked around the place for about 20 minutes, discussing the weather, the local people, and again business.

And then I said good night to him, and finally went home.

Some time later that day, he called, making sure I was safe. I thanked him. But the funny part began when...
1. he started asking me about my shoe size, and my dimensions;
2. he said that he would buy nice things for me in S.K. and give them to me next time when he came over (because he knew he would probably come over for work on regular basis);
3. he even promised that he did not have "other woman" in China!(W-T-F!?!?!?)

Holy Jesus... I did not know what to say...

But I still promised him.

That I would send him everything that he asked in an e-mail later that day.

I never did.

He called up a few times for business after that.

And he never came over again.

Now, should I laugh or what?!

Best,
Fran

P.s. Now I do think my experience sucks, but this story sucks more.

Something Different

The Runner

I have been blogging about the ladies' say for all the time since this blog was created. Today I want to post something different- Ryan Runs Europe, a blog of a GUY. It is today's Blog Of Note. Well "Ryan Runs Europe" is a quite self-explanatory name. It is a blog about Ryan's run from Amsterdam to Athens in this summer. Honestly I always "admire" someone who have a plan and cling to it till the day of completion, and I try to do it myself and make my dreams come true in the same way. Life is like a marathon, and sometimes you have to run all on your own. Of course there are feasts for the eye on the journey but you will also have the "extremely hard times" to go through. Your family and friends are with you but you are the one, and probably the only one, to actually feel the hardships and set your hands and finally solve the problems. You are the only "insider".

We have to learn to enjoy being with ourselves and the time alone to get THERE. And, the beauty in life always helps to ease your tension and defuse the pain.

BRAVO FOR RYAN AND GOOD LUCK TO YOU! TAKE CARE, AND ENJOY YOUR RUN!!

P.s. I add a link of Ryan's webpage to this post. Click the title of this post and you will see : )

Best of luck,
Fran
